Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: Connecting Providers with Resources
September 15 – October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month. During this time, it’s important to recognize the rich cultural heritage of Hispanic and Latino communities in the District of Columbia and across the nation. Providers serving Medicaid and mental health populations are encouraged to access relevant cultural resources to enhance cultural competence and improve patient care.
Integrated Care DC offers tailored support for providers to better serve their Hispanic and Latino patients. Explore our resources on forming strategic partnerships and care compacts to connect patients with community organizations that understand their unique needs. Additionally, the DC Office on Human Rights’ Language Access Program provides tools to communicate effectively with non-English-speaking patients.
