August 4-10 marks National Health Center Week, a time to celebrate the vital role of health centers in our communities. The District of Columbia is home to eight Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) and one Health Center Program Look-Alike. In 2022, they provided care for more than 180,000 people, or nearly 1 in 3 District residents. They also screened nearly 127,000 people for depression (70% of their patient population) and served 4,510 individuals seeking prenatal care.
Integrated Care DC currently collaborates with seven of the District’s FQHCs, providing personalized coaching and technical assistance to support their delivery of integrated, whole-person care. Nelson Rivera, director of behavioral health integration at Mary’s Center, recently reflected on his experience with us, “At Mary’s Center, the integration of behavioral health services with efficient billing practices, robust data extraction from EMR systems, and active engagement with CRISP DC will enable us to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. By focusing on these strategic areas, applying the insights from the Integrated Care DC Leadership Through Change Learning Collaborative, and utilizing the DiSC® (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Compliance) leadership style assessment, we can improve clinical outcomes, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure the sustainability of our services.”
We invite you join us. There’s still time to apply for our recently launched Value-Based Care Learning Collaborative. You can also sign up for coaching services anytime. Not sure where to start? Email our team to discuss how we can support your efforts in providing exceptional care.
